Agitated after removal of more than half a dozen local contract service employees of Sarlahi including Kabilasi

       Expressing dissatisfaction with the decision to extend the term and not to renew the contract, the employees of the contract service working in Kabilasi Municipality have submitted a memorandum to the District Coordination Committee Sarlahi and the District Administration Office Sarlahi on Sunday, protesting against the decision.

Except for operators, field assistants, micro-enterprise development facilitators, Prime Minister's Employment Officers, assistant professors and office assistants working in ward offices, all contract service employees will not have their contract extended or renewed from July 1st. Gagandev Raut, Chairman of All Nepal Temporary, Contractual Wage Workers Union Unit Committee Kabilasi Napa, said that a memorandum has been submitted to Jesus Chief Kaushal Singh and Assistant Chief District Officer to draw attention to the injustice towards the employees.

He complained that, as he has a strong objection to the different behavior and decision of retaining an employee of a contract service working in the same municipality, the removal or retention of an employee should be based on his performance evaluation, but this has not been done in Kabilasi Napa.

    On Sunday afternoon, after submitting a memorandum to Jesus, District Administration, Karmachari Milan Kendra Sarlahi, District Police, Armed Police Force Agarwa and Kabilasi Napa in Malangwa, the aggrieved contract service employees, even though they are employees of the same nature, put an end to this kind of discrimination and decision. We, the aggrieved contract service employees, have demanded that the decision of the executive meeting held on the 12th of August 2079 should be corrected, so if the municipality is indifferent to our demand, they have strongly warned that they will be forced to hold protest programs in stages from Monday, the 2nd of July.

   If the decision of the executive is not fulfilled according to their demands, they will hold a mass sit-in from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Monday, July 2nd, a two-hour sit-in with black armbands on Tuesday, the 3rd, a press conference at 2 p.m. on the 4th, and a commitment from union organizations and other employees on the 6th at the municipal premises.
