Kathmandu, Chait 30th. Nepal's all-rounder cricketer Dipendrasingh Airi has made a big leap in the T20 all-rounder ranking of cricket. Dipendra is in the top 10 in the rankings released by the International Cricket Council (ICC) on Wednesday.
This is the biggest success in the ranking of Nepali cricketers. Earlier in 2019, Nepal's former captain Paras Khadka was in the top 25 of the all-rounder rankings. That was the highest ranking of Nepalese players. Deependra has beaten Sri Lanka spinner Wanindu Hasaranga, Zimbabwe's Sean Williams, Ryan Burl, Australia's Mitchell Marsh, Namibia's David Wiese and Bangladesh's Mahmudullah Riyad in the all-rounder category.
Afghanistan captain Mohammad Nabi tops the all-rounder rankings. Bangladesh's Shakib Al Hasan is second, England's Moeen Ali is third and Namibia's JJ Smith is fourth and England's Liam Livingstone is fifth. According to ICC, Dipendra is ranked 38th, Kushal Bhurtel is ranked 36th and Arif Sheikh is ranked 99th.
In terms of bowling, Nepal's captain Sandeep Lamichhane is ranked 38th. Abhinash Bohra is ranked 86th. Nepal's Rohit Paudel is ranked 83rd in ODI batting. Sandeep is ranked 48th in ODI bowling. Nepal is ranked 12th in T20 ranking and 18th in ODI ranking.
